Race start

Login is set.

For each round you must add the number of the round before your username:
example: 1-akouk = username for Ansicht
example: 2-akouk = username for Berneveld

After login you download a .trk file and a .gam file. Load the game.

Players who missed qualification will have to use the first car available from the list between those they have not already used.
For Ansicht: Quklis=Alfa, Schumimerda=BMW.

Fuel consumption = 6.

Race briefing

So, to practice correctly you should arrange a grid according to the qualification results.
AI drives same car as players do.
The initial response in the game-reader is set to 3 clicks (green level on the bar).
Players who have classified as “DNF” in qualification start fro the pits (at the end of the pit lane).

3 Files to sent: gam+bmp+trk.

Login time: When you login you have 60 sec to start the race.

Don’t be tempted to restart the first lap in case of trouble.

To be legal you must hit the save button in [race time]+[60 sec].
Then you got 3 more min to email the zip/rar.

To save time, simply overwrite the login file, so you don’t have to spend time naming the file.

Penalty: 1 sec penaly for every 10 sec delay.

Bug report – Avoid the use of the “Enter” button

When you load the downloaded .gam file, click with the mouse the “load” command inside of GeneRally. Don’t use the “Enter” button, as it’ll probably result in a game crash.

Do the same when you save your race at the end.

Avoid the use of the “Enter” button for executing commands.

2009 ARC race procedure:

So, after I have given it some thought, I have come to this decision, concerning the 2009 ARC race procedure:

There will be Qualifications and there will be Race.
There will not be “lower finals”.
Qualifying will be HotLap.
Race will use grid positions. (Probably I’ll also incorporate handicaps, as in VHCS 2005).

Now here comes the juisy part:
Qualifying for all rounds will be held in advance with Code-login.
To make it more convenient, all HL results will be due the overall last day for submiting.
To make it more appealing the HotLap results will count for a HotLap Cup.

After the HotLap Cup is acomplished, the racing will begin, based on the HotLap result for each track. Those results will be used as qualification results for the races.
Race will use Files-login. All files for all rounds will be available for login at any time before each round’s due day.
So there’s major flexibility for the Qualifying, as well as for racing!

That’s the basic idea. Ofcourse there are lots of details that will be announced along with the schedule.
(So if you’re planning to join get on practicing! Get combo files from first post).

I know lots of the combo’s fans were asking for flexibility.
I hope I met your demand!
